Leadership Excellence Summit 2007:
Ethics, Integrity & Character
Testing
the Leader’s Internal Compass
The
success of an organization depends on having leaders
who are smart, effective, and ethical: men and women
who get things done, and done in the right way.
Academy Leadership and The
United States Naval Academy are pleased to offer
a unique forum for face-to-face networking and dialogue
between industry leaders and key strategic partners
at the 2007 Leadership Excellence Summit: Ethics, Integrity
and Character. Summit attendees are experienced senior
executives and policy makers from the public, private,
military and non-profit sectors.
This Summit, now in its third year, helps
individuals enhance their leadership skills through
multiple perspectives on ethical leadership from proven
leaders from business, military and government. 2007
Speakers will include inspirational leaders such as
Robert J. Stevens, Chief
Executive Officer and President, Lockheed Martin,
Edwin “Mac” Crawford,
Chairman,
CVS Caremark Corp, Tom Stewart,
Editor and Managing Director of Harvard Business Review
and Admiral Tim Keating,
United States Navy, U.S. Pacific Command.
The 2007 Summit includes the inaugural
‘Leadership Excellence Award’ sponsored
by the Vice Admiral James B. Stockdale Center for Ethical
Leadership at the United States Naval Academy and the
Harvard Business Review to honor individuals from the
corporate sector who embody the principles each of the
convening organizations represent: ethical leadership,
engaging and developing people and delivering results.
The Summit’s theme this year is
“The Leader’s Internal Compass.” Just
as a magnetic compass enables a mariner to stay on course
to reach his destination, the leader’s internal
compass must be set on those guiding principles and
values that are critical to true servant leadership:
Ethics, Integrity and Character. Join us at the United
States Naval Academy for this two day program from
July 18 – 19 to discover your own internal compass
and how to set yourself on a true leadership course
for life.
In addition to the main Summit program,
there will be a Pre-Summit on July 17 which will include
the following interactive seminars:
