purpose is to support, promote and advance the

institutional priorities, and by raising, managing

premier leadership institution.

Academy Leadership, LLC
Using leadership principles
taught and practiced at West Point and the Naval
Academy, Academy Leadership conducts in-house
leadership development programs to help organizations
transform managers into effective leaders. Their
unique Lead2Succeed™ process creates leaders
who set the example, seek responsibility, take
responsibility for their actions, train their
people as a team, make sound and timely decisions,
communicate effectively, plan for success, and
create a positive, enthusiastic, and supportive
environment in which their team members can be
successful. Programs are specifically designed
to ensure everyone knows how their daily activities
contribute to the achievement of the organization’s
goals. This results with people who are motivated
to do their best every day while achieving powerful
business results.
The cornerstone of the Lead2Succeed™
process is the development of a personal leadership
philosophy for each participant. It’s called
“The Leader’s Compass” because
it helps participants understand who they are,
what they value, what their priorities are, what
their operating principles will be, and what their
non-negotiables are. This in turn provides a foundation
and framework for developing the necessary leadership
skills that will enable them to “set their
course for leadership success”.

Vice Admiral James B.
Stockdale Center for Ethical Leadership
Since 1845, the U.S. Naval
Academy has served as a beacon of moral and ethical
leadership to the nation, producing leaders of
uncompromising character, who have fought our
wars with honor and have gone on to serve as positive
role models on a global stage.
The United States Navy established
the Center for the Study of Professional Ethics
at the Academy in 1998. Building on the Academy’s
record of developing some of the nation’s
finest leaders, the Navy chartered the center
to reach out to not only to the Naval Academy
and the Naval Service, but also to the nation
at large.
The Ethics Center changed
its name in 2006 to The Vice Admiral James B.
Stockdale Center for Ethical Leadership. Admiral
Stockdale, a prisoner of war for more than 7 years,
a recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor,
and a life-long student of leadership, philosophy,
and ethics – embodied the selfless and courageous
leadership that is the hallmark of the Center’s
mission.
Although the Ethics Center’s
primary focus is to instill Navy values, promote
character development, and influence Midshipmen
in the area of honor, ethics, and spirituality,
it also includes faculty and staff programs at
Annapolis as well U.S. Navy and National Programs
in the furthering of ethical leadership.
